The following piping diagram shows how to install the Glycol components correctly. The Glycol system piping can by installed without concern for slopping (such as with the Drainback System) because the food grade Glycol is freeze protected. System sizing is important with Glycol Systems because too much collector surface for a given amount of hot water load can cause a system to overheat. In cases where a system must be oversized due to varying hot water loads, an optional Heat Dump maybe required.
